• Teaching K - 5 general music classes built around a district-written curriculum

• Presenting annual grade-level programs that join music objectives and academic concepts

• Supervising student teachers

• Directing an 85-voice choir from grades 4 and 5; leading a 12-member choir chime ensemble.

Achievements

• Choir won the 2002 Oscar Mayer Talent Search School House Jam award for Illinois($10,000 prize)

• Composed school song for Character Counts®

• Established district elementary choir program and choir chime ensemble program

• Acting as liaison between administration and elementary music staff
