Why am I a Music Teacher?
I believe it is important to nurture the
relationship between children and music.
Music is one of our most basic means of expression. Therefore, we need to teach
the skills of listening, singing, playing, and moving to music. Through modeling
and practice, we build a language of expression. With this, I believe my
students can contribute to an aesthetic culture.
When my students move on from my classroom, I hope they have begun a lifelong
appreciation of music and have developed the skills needed to take their
interest to the level of their dreams.
